Devon Fall Classic

By |September 10th, 2014|Categories: Competitions|

Sept 10-14 This was one of the saddest times of my life. My trainer and life long friend, Elizabeth Solters, passed away. She had been battling cancer for the past two years. The hole it has left in mine and my family's life is immense. It's hard to imagine the future with out her. I am truly grateful for the time I had with her and for all that I learned from her over the past sixteen years. She was an amazing rider! She competed right up to the last six weeks of her life and even then still was [...]

Lizzy rides her 2 year stud colt to IHF 2 year old Performance Championship

By |September 3rd, 2014|Categories: Competitions|

I was so proud of Haldn (Ezio) at the International Hunter Futurity. His dam, SchoenPrincess is a full sister to Schoenrsa, my bridleless exhibition mount at 2010 WEG. I currently have three offspring by SchoenPrincess, that I own and have trained, Haldon, Helios and Huh. I broke Haldon this summer. He is an awesome horse...smart, good mind, good mover and jumps in great form with lots of scope. He was amazing at Warrenton for the IHF competition. He was a perfect gentleman throughout the entire competition bringing home the 2 year old Performance Hunter Championship.

After being away for the entire winter and spring, our clients decided it was time to go to a show close to home. All of our farm clients ...Megan Perdew, Taylor Shearers and Heather Spagnlio were champion or reserve in their prospective divisions. I piloted Whiskey Roxs and Olive O also to championships. It was awesome for my mom. Go mom go....a great show for Carousel Farm!

With much to learn..... all and all, it went well. We just missed making the score needed to qualify for the USET selection trial for WEG. There is one more qualifier in California...So Mom...California?

Olive O gets highest single round score in WCHR Children’s Classic at WEF

By |February 17th, 2014|Categories: Competitions|

It was not planned that I would be showing Olive O this year at WEF, but circumstances resulted in me picking up the ride in the Children's Hunter the WCHR week of WEF. With each round she just got better and better, jumping higher, tighter and sharper. She is the most amazing mare. By the last round of the classic, we had the highest single round score of the day moving up in 5th place in the final results. Thank You to the Steffan Family for providing me the opportunity to ride this amazing mare!
